Mike’s Story

All I did was help put a table together

I was kicking it with my line brother and he got a message from a friend asking if he can help put a table together. So he asked if I wanted to help put a table together and I agreed .We arrive at his friend’s house and that’s where I meet Daisney…

  • We arrive at his friend’s house and that’s where I meet Daisney, but didn’t think much to socialize beyond introducing myself. A few weeks later I noticed a friend request coming from a familiar name (Daisney Lacroix) and when it clicked I decided to reach out to her. Using my limitless charm, I got her number and just KNEW she was gonna be mine.

We had our first date at Tequila’s Mexican restaurant and everything took off. It was a match made in Heaven. Our second date at Bojangles was even better because I got to see how she eats (she pulls no punches by the way).  Within months we solidified our future when we popped out on social media at Disney World and the rest is history.

Daisney is the light of my world; my best friend, my lover, my biggest supporter, my number 1 hater. I can’t wait to see how our love for each other blossoms for the rest of our lives together.

Daisney’s Story

We were helping put a table together

A few years ago, on January 20th, I met the love of my life. I’ll always remember the exact date because it was my close friend Jolie Grace’s birthday. I’d love to say that day was perfect, but it wasn’t. Let me explain…

  • It was late afternoon, and I was making my way to my vehicle after a dental appointment when I received a message from a good friend of mine, Makayla, who needed help moving. Not gonna lie, I wasn’t sure if I had it in me to help. I had just spent hours in that dental chair (my dentist had put her whole back into my dental work). But I love my friend and am always willing to show up for her, so I said yes. I popped some painkillers and headed to her place.

We worked on getting things into her house until a mutual friend of ours, Roger, was supposed to show up. We thought it would just be the three of us, but get this—he brought a friend with him. Yup! You guessed it: it was Mike. And of course, who doesn’t like a tall, handsome Black man? Shiiii, I do!

I didn’t say much at first, but I did message Roger to ask him some subtle questions about Mike. That fool, though, had other plans and straight up told Mike. So, I figured I had nothing else to lose, and I went ahead and sent Mike a friend request on Facebook.

A few hours later (it might have been a few days or even weeks, but it felt quick), my inbox lit up with a notification from Mike. I just couldn’t resist. I opened the message and replied. The rest is history. (Mike will probably say, “All I did was help put a table together,” lol.) Now, he’s about to be my future husband and the future baby daddy of our future triplets.

Michael is the perfect puzzle piece to my soul. All the stars in the sky aren’t as bright as my love for him. He’s my best friend, my lover, my biggest supporter, and my number one hater (don’t let him tell you otherwise). I can’t wait to see how our love grows for the rest of our lives.
